Laidelli Wheels launches the Glass NIU project, aimed at the creation of the first car wheels made of completely transparent glass alloy.

Italy, Lombardy, Brescia, Calcinato: these are the coordinates for what could be one of the next innovations in the automotive sector. The project is named NIU Glass and was born to create the first wheel made of glass alloy. The idea comes from designer David Laidelli, founder of NIU Wheels, and the intention is to use a material similar to glass block, able to ensure adequate strength and a strong aesthetic impact at the same time, due to its transparency. This rim is not in production yet, in fact his creator said: "I am looking for other designers, engineers, and even free thinkers, with whom find the decisive element and complete the magic."

This original "100% Made in Italy" project aims to introduce the use of a new material in the manufacture of car wheels. Once found the perfect formula and started the production phase, the more suitable NIU models will be made of glass. Come forward who wants to help.
